This vacuum cleaner has received rave ratings, but I can't fathom why. I was skeptical that the Dyson V8 Absolute + vacuum cleaner reviews were written by actual customers after making the purchase; the product just does not live up to its claims, and there are two possible explanations for this confusion. 1. I don't know squat, but I can pretend to work by making a lot of noise for a long period. The manufacturer claimed a "working" time of up to 40 minutes; perhaps it would have lasted that long if I had the patience to pick up trash and push it into the vacuum cleaner pipe by hand while holding the pipe aloft. If it can't fit a feather, it can't fit anything. When you sweep up dust close to the curtains, they don't budge. Maximum capacity (2). The aforementioned strategy is highly effective. If you only have seven minutes, this is the only mode I'd recommend for vacuuming. The product shuts off, and you despise yourself for falling for the marketing hype, pull out a tried-and-true, everyday vacuum cleaner from the back of the cupboard, and resume cleaning while yelling obscenities at the salespeople who sold it to you. Explain the docking station quickly. the manufacturer listed "convenient docking station" as one of the characteristics on the site, but in my experience, it is anything but. The connector isn't always securely fastened in the lower position after charging the vacuum cleaner; if you don't pay attention to this, the battery won't charge and you won't get to use the product for even its advertised seven miserable minutes. This item needs a tagline like that.
