This canopy leg is made entirely of aluminum and features a twist-lock mechanism that allows you to adjust the canopy leg to your desired length. It's incredibly light, portable and compact. However, because it's made of aluminum, it doesn't feel very heavy like the steel hood pillars of, say, the Lisle brand. I have a feeling it might crush itself if I ever bump into it in a car crash.
