Decent Trimmer, Not the Best Battery

We own a variety of electric yard and garden tools. We wanted a cordless trimmer but tend to ruin carburetors on gas ones with infrequent use, so decided to test out this electric trimmer.Pros:The trimmer is relatively lightweight. It cuts well and charges quickly. It was able to handle shrubbery but struggled a bit with a larger shrub/tree.Assembly was simple, 4 screws and you are done.I liked the plastic sheath for the blades, on our other model they are always getting caught on something.Cons:The battery life is not so great, we have a large yard and a lot of shrubbery and could only get about 30-minutes to an hour out of the battery at best. At least it charges quickly! The safety features make this require two hands to use. This is probably for the best, but we do like being able to reach higher areas with one hand once in a while. This is fairly light-duty in quality. Perfect for small yard home use, but certainly nothing professional. For our needs it will work okay and if we need something heavier we will pull out one of the other trimmers.

Pros
  • Easy to use, safety important on older, overgrown spoked hedge
Cons
  • The trimmer is not ergonomic and can cause strain on the user's arms and back
