Review on Allen Edmonds Mens Manistee Black by Ronald Orear

(Edit: read to end) I needed a new, larger Manistee belt after gaining a few pounds. The previous review that they were fake worried me, but the seller was Revain.com Services and the picture in the description seemed to match the AE belt I had (brown, not black on the inside). What I received was supposed to be the same fake belt as the previous buyer. This is nowhere near the quality of my AE belt at EVERYONE. SINGLE. AWAY. This is a cheap department store belt with AE marks attached. First, it's incredibly thin. See image comparing my used AE belt to the flex of this brand new belt. The stiffer belt used is at the back, and the thin belt at the front is a new fake belt. The difference is very significant. Secondly, the inner skin is printed in black. My real belt is decorated with brown embossed leather. Third, the finish doesn't match the AE walnut color. My real belt goes perfectly with my AE walnut shoes. The finish on this belt also stands completely outside of the depth and quality of the AE belt. Third, the buckle appears to be the same size but visibly glows and makes a much hollower sound when touched, whereas a real belt makes a clinking sound. That's a really terrible excuse for an AE belt. I feel sorry for the people who bought this and I think these are AE products. It's not even close. Edit: Well I ordered the same belt from another seller and received the exact same belt from Revain. Unfortunately I think the AE quality has gone downhill since my previous Manistee belt. Very bad. Another star.
