I wanted a table next to the sofa that would also hold a few books or magazines. It's perfect for this and looks good enough. You can't go wrong with a wooden top and black metal base. The part that can hold books, magazines, or even the TV remote control is the fabric strap. This part doesn't seem capable of supporting all that much weight, but overall the table is fairly stable on carpet. The legs can be slid under the sofa to place the table section over the sofa if desired. The table was pretty easy to put together and you can use a drill to speed up the process. It's fast, so you'll be enjoying your new table in no time. Overall it is as advertised and works well.
