I own various precision grinders (pocket grinders, grinders) from different manufacturers in the diameter range from 5/8" to 2.1". This type of finish is ideal for many styles, except for flat-bottomed and low-clearance records for bearings in records over 1.2 inches in the beginner-collector range (like the likes of Twisted Tops, Fludunlimited/BW Flud, Charles Simeonides, and Patrick Aubert do). ). The concavity tends to get in the way of larger tops with this particular diameter/design. This lens should be suitable for intermediate/advanced collectors. It also works well with plates that don't have bearings like the Inception plate, Tippe plate, Lance Barnett plates (a few select plates that don't have bearings) or Franz Tommasi Delrin/Polymer plates. My lens had a tiny chip on the edge of the lens but as my goals weren't for optics I didn't return it. However, this poses quality control issues in my experience. Overall I am very happy with the performance of the smaller, wide basilar spaced tops for my tops, particularly Blake San (Mountain Tops EDC), Steven Robbins Fine Pocket Tops, the Inception Top, Symeon Metal Works, The Tippe/Tippie Top, Twisted Tops , brand Dalpe and Fludunlimited / BW Fl.
