When you open the individual sponges, they smell slightly, which is neither good nor bad in my opinion. The smell will disappear after soaking. I soaked it in Tupperware for about half an hour, wrung it out and tried using it in the shower. This works best when damp and not under steam. You have to rub with decent pressure, otherwise it won't do any good. It didn't work at first, but this area needs a little work, I'm sure the dead skin will come off. I was amazed at how well it worked on different parts of my body. face didn't work. The forearms worked well. Side/thigh where I have stretch marks worked amazing. Once I was done showering, I grabbed a damp sponge and ran it down my thighs/side and it removed even more dead skin. I will now use it right after I get out of the shower instead of in the shower. Everything was well packed. The text on the box was in English, the text on the individual sponge packaging was in a different language. I had to go back to the original post to find out how to use this product. That's probably the only reason I gave it one star.
