Review on ✂️ 10-inch Westcott Sewing Titanium Bonded Easy Grip Scissors by Shantel Griffin

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Sturdy but takes some getting used to

Standard scissors are difficult to hold due to arthrosis. I enjoy many crafts such as sewing, cross stitch and paper crafts that require the use of scissors. I was hoping this pen would help make it easier. First, the grip is easier to hold, but the stiff material can still be uncomfortable. I have found that the tips of the fingers require more force to open the jaws since they are not spring loaded and there is no thumb hole to open the jaws. Secondly, the scissors weren't as super sharp as one would expect from the new pair of scissors. They're not exactly blunt, so maybe it's user error - like using the left scissors with the right hand? I am not sure. They're not terrible, but they're not what I was hoping for either. Finally, the asking price was higher than I would normally pay for a single pair of shears, but they certainly come in handy for cutting on flat surfaces like workbench stuff, etc. The lack of a bottom handle helps here. The product is solid but I'm not sure I would buy it again.

Pros
  • Resistant to corrosion by acids, chlorides and salt water
Cons
  • Out of fashion
