Review on Ultimate Comfort Mid-Calf Athletic Socks by Brian Cheney

Not the socks they used to be.

I first bought socks from this brand many years ago and they were solid and durable. The problem with each pair was that they developed holes near the ankle and the elasticity gave off some of that but was still decent overall. So when it came time to buy more socks I went with the same brand hoping that the ankle hole issue might be solved. it was decided. To my surprise, the socks have undergone a design change. Upper calf stiffness has been replaced with a looser mesh fabric. Although these new socks have no ankle holes, the mesh at the calf end ripped after a few washes. Elasticity is lost, the threads begin to break and it is impossible to stop them from falling. Perhaps these thinner socks can last longer if washed in laundry bags rather than loose where the mesh is more likely to stretch with washing.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Lots of stuff
