UPDATE: September 29, 2016 Lilysilk have contacted me to make sure I am happy with the product. All of my bedding (except for this pillow and the comforter at the foot of the bed) is white and I've had some color issues. There are a few pink spots on my white blanket and I've also noticed that sometimes pink spots appear on my skin. That's probably because I either sweat (or drool, to be honest) at night or because it's painfully muggy in Florida. In any case, I informed them of the problem and they immediately offered me options, confirmation (of the non-toxicity of the dye) and a refund. I love this product and wanted to keep it, so they kindly offered to exchange my case for a lighter one that wouldn't result in any noticeable color transfer. I was very impressed with how friendly, responsive and proactive they were in solving my simple problem. I will definitely be buying pillowcases from them as gifts this holiday season - just going to keep my recipients' bedding colors in mind when deciding. - your kicks in your mid-30s are probably enough. I read the silk pillowcase reviews carefully before buying this one and I learned something interesting: 1. There is no such thing as satin "fabric" - satin is a finish.2. There seem to be many different weights of silk (known as mummies) and these affect how heavy the silk is and how well suited it is to a particular use. Lots of celebs sleep on silk pillowcases! After reading the reviews of many options, I decided on the Lilysilk fuchsia pillowcase. Some previous reviewers mentioned that face products or generic face/hair oils can bleach lighter ones and I didn't want to take that chance. The color is excellent; It's a bright, shiny splash of stunning pink on my bed. The texture is very smooth but not uncomfortable. The fabric stays cool at night and doesn't get hot. As advertised, only the top of the pillowcase is silk; white cotton below. This is good for several reasons. Firstly, I can just turn the pillow over during the day if I don't want pink, but more importantly, my foster kitten doesn't lose all of the silk while I'm at work. Second, the cotton's grippier surface holds the sheet and keeps the pillow from shifting while I sleep. The pillow closes with a zip which is nice, never thought to look for this but will definitely keep it in mind in the future. I have one of those memory foam pillows so there's a little extra on the sides but that's not a problem at all. Now it's working? I have to say I think he's delivering on quantifiable promises. I usually have to wash my hair every day because it gets so uncontrollable, sweaty and greasy after sleeping on it. However, I can live with this pillowcase for a full 2.5 days - my hair is much more manageable when I wake up and I can brush it out and not look like a mess. I'm already planning to buy them as gifts for friends!
