Review on White Mirror ULTI-MATE 3 Chamber Wall Mount Shower Dispenser by Better Living Products 73350 by Katherine Peterson

I wish I could give it another half star

Let me start by saying that I have installed this unit in every bathroom in the last three houses and if I could give it an extra half star, I would do it Good: Lots of good! First, and a big plus for me, it's a very simple setup. A very strong silicone adhesive is used instead of fittings. The thought of drilling tiles put me off other similar products. Another great benefit of glue is that it can be scraped off if you ever decide to remove it. And if for some reason it doesn't hold, glue is available at Home Depot. We had it once when my 5 year old daughter tried to hang herself from it. Lesson learned. I've attached it above for the second time. The reason I bought it in the first place is because bottles in the shower drive me crazy. They fall down, collect in the corners of the tub and have to be moved while cleaning. This solved that problem. Another thing that drove me crazy was the huge waste of the products we used. Children and husbands are somehow unable to spit out an adequate amount of shampoo and conditioner. This dispenser dispenses a very small amount of product with each button press. I didn't like it at first, but then we all quickly realized how much of each product we needed individually. I have a lot of hair and personally need 7 drops of shampoo. My husband is going bald and uses 2 or 3. This thing pays off in the end with the shampoo savings, especially if you're buying salon hair products. You can hang a razor or a washcloth. It also has a mirror which is good but could take it or leave it. Many other dispensers I looked at didn't have a nice touch. Cons: Like most things made of plastic, this item could use a little more durability. In my opinion the body of the device is fine as it stays against the wall and tends to take very little abuse. But you have to be careful with the bottles you fill. The little tip that the product is sprayed through can be damaged if you drop them and they get slippery if you shampoo them while they're filling. I also had a crack in one bottle. Better Living sells replacement bottles and pump parts but I don't think they are available from Revain and shipping is very expensive which sometimes makes buying a whole new unit cheaper. I wish the bottles lasted a little longer. But I guess it can't get too heavy since it's held on with glue after all. Another problem I've encountered is that not all types of air conditioners work well. Very thick species do not spread easily. They seem to create an air pocket around the air intake that doesn't move up and out. Then you have to take out the bottle and tap it to redistribute the product like I broke one. I now simply opt for thinner conditioners to remedy this deficiency. Overall I'm very happy with it. It keeps the shower clean and tidy, greatly reduces waste and installation was an easy task. If the shower clutter makes you crazy easily, this thing will help your sanity.
