Many have the same design, this one has the best design and very strong construction

Almost all of these pen holders have the same design, sides with 2 inch elastics, firm enough to hold pens in place . That being said, you can take your pick based on which design you find most appealing. If you add a few more sides and increase the sidewalls, you can use more pins. Eliminating sides and shrinking sidewalls results in less storage space. The elastic will initially be tight, but as you would expect, it will loosen as you remove and reinsert the pins. Out of all the ones I have, and I currently use about 10 different ones, I've only had one tear in the rubber band. This tear was the last strip next to the inseam, so it may have been subjected to more stress, or perhaps it was the weakest point in terms of likely seam tearing. If the line breaks you can't fix it unless you have an industrial machine, it's like trying to sew thick leather, the "board" inside is rated for the weight of pencils, it is thick and stiff. I have them from all different companies and the overall design is identical. So how do you choose? Well I would buy as many pencils as you need with the design you like the most! I LOVE this fabric, it's not too floral, not too young or old and can be used at any age. If you love flowers, elephants, dogs, etc., definitely choose the one that suits your interests. There are differences in the fabric. Some are faux leather which I really like as they are easy to clean, some are silky fabric, some are more like hard canvas and some are in between. This one is somewhere in between, not silky but not too rough either. Best of all, the fabric resists stains! At first I made the mistake of buying some light samples and soon they started looking dirty. They do NOT wash well as you are pretty much limited to wiping them down. If you choose a light colored fabric type I would suggest that you protect the outside with Scotch Guard before use. Slots accommodate 2 to 3 pens. The outer slots seem to be a bit wider on all of them and can usually fit 4. The more you put in, the more you stretch the elastic. So if you go from 3 to 1, you may find that the rubber band has stretched over time. enough to make that single pin levitate. They go on sale fairly regularly. So if you can wait to buy a Black Friday sale, you can usually get between 20% and 30% off. art car. (There are more drawers than pictured, you can add a few more below and double up on the middle shelf. If you don't have permanent storage or a table I would recommend an art cart that will keep all your drawers organized as well as all your products)
