I was looking for Wamsutta sheets when I found these king size Kirkland sheets. So got these and they washed well and were really soft cotton. Then I ordered these queen size sheets because they are so well made. They do have a bit of a smell coming out of the plastic but I used Clorox 2 and regular detergent and when they came out of the dryer they just smelled like a dryer. Leaf and odor gone. So don't let that stop you. These are high quality sheets that are beautiful and durable and will last a long time. There is also a finish on the sheets that will wash off with the first wash. They look like satin out of the box and turn into soft cotton after washing. And one more thing, the top sheet is a bit short on the sides, so maybe this sheet set is only suitable for those sleeping alone. in a big bed. If two people try to cover themselves with the top sheet, there might be a little problem. However, a fitted sheet is great for mattresses with deep pockets and has special elastics at the corners and around the bottom of the sheet so it fits snugly around the mattress. Sweet Dreams!
