Update: The app is getting worse and worse. Connecting to the camera takes forever and there is a huge lag. Now I can move the camera left to right but not up and down, but it's actually so difficult to get the right motion to move the camera that it's hardly worth using. It came with a camera, a monitor, 2 power cords and a quick start guide. A quick start guide walks you through the basic steps of charging before use, setting up devices and turning on the device. It also provides button functions for external buttons (not for on-screen selection). Finally, there is a QR code to download the Motorola app onto your device. As soon as the camera and monitor were turned on, they were instantly connected and the video appeared on the monitor. While my phone struggled to pick up the quality of the video and it is indeed sharper than the pictures, it's not at all as sharp as the listing. I played around with the settings on the monitor. The left side was pretty easy to understand as it controls all interactions with the baby like lights, lullabies, stories and nature sounds. All functions work well. I have included a video with nature sounds. The purple ring of light on the camera captured by my phone is not visible to the naked eye. Then I set about the task of figuring out the rest of the options on the screen. I googled the manual for the Motorola Baby Monitor VM85 and was able to find it on the manual website (not the Motorola website). The landing page was a random page in the middle of the guide, so I had to scroll and mess with ads until I found the right section. I was able to learn all the settings and also use the OK button for remote panning as the quick start guide wasn't that clear. Then I scanned the QR code to download the app. When logging into the app, I had to enter my details, verify my email and connect to my WiFi. I followed the instructions until I was able to connect the camera and app. The app generates a QR code that needs to be placed in front of the camera. You need to enter pairing mode by pressing the square button on the back of the camera. nails help. The camera will notify you when it is in pairing mode and you must release the button. The camera didn't register my code and the app kept telling me that my phone wasn't connected to the internet, so I played around with the app a few more times and then turned on the monitor to see the camera point. Appearance. It worked and he connected on the second try. The app kept telling me that I was not connected to the internet. I was finally able to fix this problem by disconnecting my phone from the internet. When I reconnected, the error no longer came up. The app was good for taking photos, chatting, or controlling the sound and light, but I've tried everything I can think of and I can't get the remote panning to work, even though I have the panning arrows. This was my experience with the Android app on the Samsung Galaxy 21 Ultra. Overall, once set up, the connection is great and controls become easier as you get used to it. I like that the monitor has a stand. If you can get over the frustration of setting it up, this could be a really good monitor. I would give this 5 stars if my remote controlled pan worked on the app and the instructions were much clearer.
