4PC Gunsmithing Roll Pin Starter Punch Set Review: A Decent Addition to Your Collection

I recently purchased the 4PC Gunsmithing Roll Pin Starter Punch Set for some precision work on my firearms. The set includes four different sizes, which are clearly marked and easy to identify. The punches are made of durable steel and have held up well during use. However, I did find that the punches are not tapered, which made it harder to get them started in the roll pins. I had to use a lot of force to get them in, which raised concerns about potentially damaging the pins or the punch itself. Additionally, the punches are not labeled with their respective sizes, which made it difficult to know which punch to use for each roll pin size. On a positive note, the punches have a nice grip and are comfortable to hold. They are also very affordable compared to other similar sets on the market. Overall, the 4PC Gunsmithing Roll Pin Starter Punch Set is a decent addition to your collection if you are just starting out in gunsmithing or need a set for basic precision work. However, if you are looking for a more top-quality set with tapered punches and labeled sizes, I would suggest investing in a higher-end set.

Pros
  • Precision Work: This 4PC Gunsmithing Roll Pin Starter Punch Set is designed for precision work, making it an ideal choice for gunsmiths and other professionals who require a high level of accuracy
Cons
  • Not Suitable For Heavy-Duty Work - This punch set is great for tasks that require precision work. However, when it comes to heavy-duty work, these punches may not hold up well and could easily bend or break
