Bought and installed this heating element while trying to figure out why my dryer stopped heating. It turned out that the problem was the timer, not the heating element, but I left this replacement installed anyway, believing the new one might work better than the original. out and damage their housing. There are small black burned bits on the underside of my dryer just below where this heating element is installed and the block itself looks burned on the top 4 rows of coils. Died in just a few months with not very intensive use. Luckily I kept the old heating element because it still worked so I was able to put it back in and now my dryer is working again. Do not buy this replacement heating element.
