Unfortunately this is typical cheap Chinese electronics manufactured and sold by a Chinese company. Looks like a cheap and cheaply made copy of an expensive American brand. Everything seems to work with it EXCEPT the temp reading is anything but normal rendering the whole meter unusable as all other readings (like dew point, wet bulb temp etc.) depend on the temp reading. The temperature readings obtained from this hygrometer vary by 5-6 degrees Fahrenheit. For example, if the true temperature is 66 degrees Fahrenheit, this hygrometer will read 71 Fahrenheit. At 66 degrees I am absolutely sure because I tested it. with three other thermometers, one of which is a high quality Milwaukee infrared thermometer, all reading 66F. This cheap Chinese hygrometer reads 70.6F. No instructions are provided at all, although there isn't much to learn how to use the device. That's what I call the quality tool for port transport. I am returning this hygrometer for a refund.
