Makes free motion quilting less scary

I recently bought this to fit my Janome DC2013 sewing machine. I'm relatively new to quilting, but after watching countless tutorial videos on YouTube I felt ready to try free motion quilting. After some initial experimentation, I tackled my first major project, a double size quilt. It took a few minutes and a few tries, but I soon started sewing. Love the open/closed toe options and how easily the foot attaches to my machine. As other reviewers have said, I wish the foot came with instructions, but I was fortunate enough to have the sewing machine manual to hand and was able to change the foot without too much fuss. After a few days of practice with my double throw, I felt comfortable enough with my foot to get started on some of my large/royal UFO tops that fold. Once you take the time to get to know your machine with this foot, free motion quilting becomes a lot less intimidating and I've started to enjoy the new designs this investment brings to my home machine. I am interested in a long arm machine. a day. But until I decide to make that rather large and expensive purchase, this product offers enough flexibility and versatility to spark my interest and explore new quilting patterns. I'll try to upload a photo of the double quilt I finished this week with this leg. Please keep in mind that this was my first experiment with free motion quilting, but I was still very happy with the end result, uneven stitches due to user error and everything else.
