I'm not exactly sure how you're supposed to use syringes, but I've found the easiest way to use them is to seal ink bottles with the end of To break a syringe (you can also use a needle) and simply inject ink directly into the cartridge until it is full. If you don't understand what I'm talking about, if you look at the bottom of most ink cartridges, you'll see a little connector-like thing with a piece of cloth inside. This is how the printer gets the ink out of the cartridge and apparently there is no one-way valve. My printer still reports that the cartridges are empty, but I can still print with "empty" cartridges and the ink is working fine after a few color tests. I would probably recommend this product even if the alternative wouldn't shell out $50 for new staple cartridges. Also, I don't think I used even a third of the contents of these ink bottles in one refill so they will pay for themselves many times over in the long run.
