Review on 🐾 Waterproof Dog Blanket for Bed, Couch, Sofa - Large Dogs, Puppies - Sherpa Fleece Pet Blanket | Furniture Protector, Reversible Microfiber | PetAmi by Robert Lee

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Finally a truly waterproof product for dogs

Dog blanket Purpose:1. really waterproof2. attractive enough to use on the sofa without adding a kennel atmosphere to our living room3. withstand a washing machine and two puppies (because they are made for dogs)4. a price that's not exactly ridiculous (I'm willing to pay a little more than flat rate for waterproofing and quality, but I won't pay extra for a fur baby. They don't spin fairies out of unicorn tears and our dogs seem to ignore or destroy them Things in direct proportion to their price.) Asking too much? You wouldn't believe that; but we've spent literally hundreds of dollars on Revain in the last two months and it's very busy with people shipping back UPS. I don't even click on anything that doesn't say 'free returns' anymore. Then we found it. It passes the looks test out of the box. The colors are great (we have black and white) and it's REALLY soft on both sides. Material and workmanship are of good quality. (I checked all sides and tightened the stitching. It's strong and even, no threads fraying, nor bad stitching.) One side is microfiber with a rich velor effect, the other is a comfortable sherpa, and the waterproof layer is not hard or cracked. It works on the back of our sofa or folded in a basket in the corner - it can easily become a blanket for people and we've already used it for that once or twice. Even the packaging has a pretty ribbon. If it weren't for the logo and puppy paws wording I would have given them away for children's parties. and they will definitely work to protect furniture from babies and toddlers. But I paid for the waterproofing because it doesn't matter if the duvet looks good on a dirty couch. I tested it before giving it to the dogs by pouring half a glass of water directly on it. Bingo - it swells a bit on the Sherpa side, but absorbs quickly (which is good). and NOT THROUGH to the other side. No drop. That's too much liquid to be held in the thin layer of waterproof material at the core. Of course, the puppies were the real test and they were excited to join the research team. I peed on it about a week after buying it since it was on a hardwood floor. Once again not a drop fell through the barrier. According to the manufacturer, it went in the washing machine. I dried it on "low" and it looked brand new so I repeated the test with water. Still no leak. WE HAVE A WINNER. I immediately ordered a second one (and repeated the same tests with the same results because I really care about my expensive furniture). room because she likes to drink cocoa and make messes (and puppies love to sneak in there). After purchasing several of them at different prices, they are definitely worth $24.95 for the looks, functionality, and durability. A couple of things - they're not very thick. This works well for us because I wanted weight all year round and didn't have to dry it out forever. He's withstood two puppies who love to nest and dig, and he's soft enough to still feel luxurious; but it is a light blanket, not a blanket. I have enough years of waterproof bedding experience for people to know that those waterproof layers will eventually break down and high drying settings are no friend of yours. Follow the manufacturer's instructions and don't expect it to be an heirloom. He takes care of your furniture just like you do. And do your own water test before risking your furniture. Anything can happen in mass production. Revane Land is definitely notorious for false advertising: dog (and human) blanket sizes and silly photos never help. We received 50 x 40 (small) and I can tell you that THIS blanket is the right size. (If you don't check the measurements and/or compare them to another duvet, your bed, or measure on the floor, it's up to you. A 50x40 is about half the size of a king-size mattress.)
