These bulbs are bright and do their job quite well, but they get REALLY hot. I don't remember my previous xenon bulbs getting that hot. This is generally the main reason for using a xenon bulb instead of the cheaper halogen bulb. It's hot enough that the drywall behind my light fixture feels very warm. For now, my only thought is replacing the bulb to avoid the repeated expense of those expensive and potentially dangerous xenon bulbs. Your mileage may vary
