We took this on a Frontier Airlines flight which was long due to delays. Even though the porter is 11 inches tall and the border limit is 8 inches, they didn't look at the porter at all when we were at the ticket counter and boarding. Side rails and holes, our new pup had plenty of room to stretch out. The Frontier Airlines seat's 18-inch constraint was lateral, so the side vents were very useful. Our new puppy slept most of the flight. The flight crew were very pet friendly which was good advice although I worried about this in the weeks leading up to the flight.
