Exactly what I wanted. Mine wasn't yellow at all, although it was definitely a darker creamy base color. It's very nice, soft (it didn't feel heavy to me at all) and I think will warm me in winter. I'm in California so I'm just using it for beauty at the moment. I purchased a 14 inch queen size mattress and a queen size comforter. Great fit but if you want it to be to the floor then yes I can see why some people go up a size. I have a sleigh bed and there are very nice sides that hide the spring block. I want the tree to be visible and for this blanket to almost touch the tree (an extra inch on each side would be perfect, but my beautiful blanket barely shows through so I'm more than satisfied). I love making my bed every day - and I'm writing this 3 months after it arrived!
