At first I struggled to cool the thing down below room temperature. Has two modes - heating and cooling. In heating mode, the heating output turns on when the sensor temperature is below the lower temperature limit. In cooling mode, the cooling output turns on when the sensor temperature is above the upper temperature limit. Nowhere in the instructions does it say you can't set the upper temperature limit below the lower temperature limit. Now, while this may be intuitive to some, it wasn't for me. I only wanted to use the cooling function, but for this the lower temperature limit (for heating mode) must be set below the set value for the upper temperature limit for cooling mode. Once you have done this, you can set the desired temperature.
