Unfortunately broke after less than 3 months. It sat still all the time, set at a constant height, not used much (since it was just an add-on option), and one day I went back to my desk to see the stand was tilted and my MacBook in the office chair slipped (fortunately not on the ground). The spring just popped out, separating the two pieces. It's not repairable, because even if I eventually managed to push the spring (it takes strength and tact) to the desired height so that it fits on the shaft, it was still not fixed with a plastic cap. Now without the spring it can only be used at a constant minimum height (not sure anyway), which isn't enough and defeats the whole purpose of this stand for me (although I found it very convenient and useful before it broke). I can't contact the seller but I would like him to read this and suggest a suitable replacement. Then at least I can appreciate their customer service.
