I didn't expect miracles but I didn't expect this antenna to make things worse! It attenuates (reduces) the signal, which is only useful when you're near huge metal buildings that cause signal reflections, or leaky cable modem wires that cause interference. Configuration: Netgear Nighthawk Atlas M1100 AT&T model. 1.3 miles from 2 operator aggregation tower (range 12+2) and 1.5 miles from 3 operator aggregation tower (range 12+2+4). I also tested an aggregation with 4 carriers near a hospital (area 12 + 2 + 4 + 30). Yes, it is within the beam width and horizontal and vertical beam spread of the LTE mast antennas. AT&T outsources quality testing and antenna alignment, which is why such a weak signal is so close to the tower. Thanks to this antenna, the total carrier attenuation on the upper bands 2, 4, 30 dropped from -112 dB to -125 dB. CA became unusable in all my tests. I won't bore you with the odd 20 tests I ran, but they all gave roughly the same results. The antenna deteriorated the reception quality and speed in all tests. At best it would catch up with the internal antennas, at worst the signal would disappear altogether! Yes, I've tried all possible orientations and reversible connections, battery power, and the power adapter on the router. Here is a typical result: Without the Nighthawk antenna, the result is 1-2 LTE lanes = 19MB down / 2MB up, 31ms latency. (RSRP = -103dBm, RSRQ = -14dBm, quality 51dBm) with antenna, results 14MB down / 1MB up, latency 42ms (RSRP = -112dBm, RSRQ = -18dBm, quality = 44dBm) I wanted to add this LTE with carrier aggregation about 0.5 miles closer to the tower becomes 127MB down / 56MB up. I was expecting this antenna to give me at least half from 19MB to 127MB and not drop to 14.
