I bought this size XL after trying the large one and it was too small and it fits very well. I have put this on my 9 year old German Shorthaired Pointer mix (approx 60lbs, black with dotted chest) and my 2 year old German Shepherd (approx 90lbs, sable) and size XL fits very well and looks absolutely gorgeous ! I originally bought this because my pointer mix is getting a sunburn on her head and I didn't want her to miss out on being outside for more than 10 minutes on a good day. It took a while to get used to (I had her wear it inside at first so she was comfortable) but she didn't take it off. I had to correct it while she was wearing it because she shook her head, but it wasn't that bad.
