could handle more sheets at once than my old shredder and that it makes a cross cut which is much safer than my old shredder that made long strips. The drawer needs to be emptied frequently as it doesn't hold much and it's hard to know when it's time. If you make a mistake, lots of shredded paper will fall to the bottom of the shredder and onto the floor. This is a problem when you're switching multiple institutions at once and deleting decades-old records because you've ended your relationship with them. However, there's a lot you can do before the shredder tells it to take a break. I tried the credit card shredding feature and it works great. I've used it once so far, for about an hour (I turned it off many times to empty it) and it had an odd combination of oil and burnt smell the whole time. I ended my session with one of the fat sheets, so I'm hoping this will be a happy shredder next time I need it.
