Purchased in autumn 2018. Initially the heating element was very hot - in fact it was difficult to raise the temperature. Then, after the first 3-4 months of use, the heating element changed its very temperamental settings. It was hard to find a setting that provided enough heat to straighten my hair and now none of the settings generate heat. The Karmin G3 straightener was NOT used daily and when started it worked for 5 minutes at a time. Ridiculous! I bought the Karmin G3 because my stylist told me that a better flat iron would tame my hair during its frizzy days. Wow, this Karmin G3 Salon professional ceramic iron for 140.00 (+/-) that still looks brand new! 😑 ------- By the way, I've had a €20 iron for years and it still works perfectly.
