My 9 year old son has a sensory processing disorder but one of the sensations he really enjoys is the vibrations he gets from the massage pads. It recently wore out so we replaced it with this one and it has been in constant use since it arrived. The battery compartment is easy to find, pull out and reinsert. It's easy for him to press the button you press to make the pillow vibrate and the pillow will fit comfortably around his neck. The vibrations themselves aren't too harsh for him - this pillow only offers a light vibration sensation that's perfect for him. You have to press a little on the cushion (when leaning against a car seat, sofa, wall, etc.) to feel the vibrations, but that's not a problem for us as my son prefers to use it on the couch or inside the car . The stitching is holding up well and I don't expect them to come loose any time soon. The fabric of the pillow is nice and smooth - since my son can't tolerate some fabrics on his skin, the fabric of this pillow is another plus.
