I bought this monitor specifically because of the 96W USB-C power adapter for my laptop. I had it 3 days and it was good. It replaced the docking station I was using. I use Windows and use my laptop for work. I have a 4 year old P51 thinkpad that I refused to update the laptop for because I didn't want to reinstall things. The laptop can run on this monitor at 3440 x 1440 + 1920 x 1080 on the laptop screen + 2540 x 1440 on another (vertically positioned) monitor. I LOVE IT. I love the extra desk space I get with this thing and the curved glass is a work of art and WONDERFUL IMO. I spent a few hours programming some auto hotkey functions so I can place apps next to the page etc. Works great so far. I hope this continues! supplement to the review. It's been a week and I just love this monitor. I used to use a 32 inch 2560 x 1440 monitor and now this monitor sits in my office with a Chromecast dongle and acts as a clock and thermometer. But I'm glad the flat screen isn't my main screen anymore. This curved monitor just represents my surroundings. It just looks so good and the graphics are great. Someone complained that it wasn't bright enough and when I first got the monitor I turned it up to 100 and then found I had to go back to 75 because it was too bright. A colleague of mine told me he saw a similar monitor at Costco and said the stand was wobbly, which is true, but I haven't done anything for the last week except bang on the table to make it wobble. previous monitor. With this LG stand you can use the space under your monitor. I like LOW and the lowest position of the monitor is about 4.0 inches from the desktop and the top of the monitor is 18 inches above the desktop. IDEALLY. Sound Every time I buy a monitor with Sou or my company gives me one, I say "I can't wait to see how far the technology has come!β as if I expect such stunning sound quality, but every time it is her. upset. It's the same with this monitor. The sound quality is reasonable and you can get it quite loud, but that's not the reason to buy this thing. The setting options are "good". You only touch the settings once, and changing the brightness is pretty easy though. I would never use this slider to change the volume. Too cumbersome to change the volume using the controls. You just install it once and change the volume with the software. But I don't use the speakers on the monitor. Nice to have a spare speaker. Based on the reviews I've read about this monitor, as well as a similar 60W monitor, I don't use the two USB ports on the back at all. I'm just afraid of breaking something, so I'll leave those two ports alone. Just use the two powerful USB hubs on my desk for USB. I just want this pup to power and video my laptop. which one. I don't have a battery for my laptop and sometimes the power consumption is high so I chose the 96w model instead of the 60w model. Just to make sure the laptop gets enough power to stay alive. This is my best piece. Purchase of the year! if usb-c not working. the stars break away from the rating!
