I ended up removing the rear door speakers from my 2004 car as they were blown out by the engineers and poorly placed. Seriously, the speakers were completely muted when the door was closed. The previous owner of the car didn't know much about sound and got the cheapest sound pack but great seats with lumbar adjustment. So I removed the speakers from the tailgate and instead placed two Cerwin Vegas at the other end above the sunroof. (I'm a pervert who listens with my ears, not my knees). I then pulled out the front end and swapped it out for this Cerwin Vegas. I now have a deeper, richer set of speakers without muffling the rear speakers and they are great for my needs. I've always liked the Cerwin Vega brand and had it at my house so I figured why not a car.
