When I bought these I was surprised to learn that you could spend over $300 on them, but I can't imagine how a fancy tool can be much better than this. When opened wide, it is very fast and can quickly remove a lot of material. You can then scale it down to the speed appropriate for your application. A hard base is ideal for general work, but you will need a foam base for waxing etc. Great price.
