I've had a SLOAN Flushmate 501-B for over 20 years with no problems but recently water has been leaking around this filter. I enjoyed the challenge and watched an online video explaining how to change these filters and felt like even a woman like me could handle it and save on plumbing. I researched the required part number and, as usual, credited Revain with the source. This matched my old filter perfectly and I also invested in a filter removal tool and am very glad I did. It took a lot of twisting and pliers wouldn't do the job as easily as using a tool designed for that. Worth the additional cost <$20 and I'll get it if/if I need to replace it again.
