UPDATE: April 2015: I've been using this scale for 6 years and one day the calibration is "lost". Last year it was 0.02 g. It took me a minute to recalibrate my calibration weight and it has returned to zero every time since. Annoyingly, the automatic switch-off is even shorter. I assume the capacitor is getting old or something. The scale will now switch off after 30 seconds without a change in weight. That pretty much means I have to turn them back on for every item I weigh. It doesn't take more than 3-4 seconds to recover, but it's annoying. Review July 2009: This scale was calibrated for 6 months. I have a 50 and 100 gram calibration weight. I calibrated the scale the first time I used it and it didn't turn on every time I reweighed the calibration weights. I'm deducting a star for a disappointing "feature": a ridiculously aggressive auto-shutoff kicks in after being idle for 45 seconds! Almost every time I put the next item on the scale, I have to turn it on first. Very annoying. It should take at least 3 minutes and I think 5 minutes would be reasonable. How much "juice" does the scale use when idling? CAN'T MUCH!?
