Review on Fenge 2-Tier AV Wall Mount Shelf Stand: Organize and Display Your AV Receiver, Xbox, Cable Boxes, and Gaming Systems with Black Bracket by Rodney Sample

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great shelf, read the assembly instructions!

This shelf did exactly what I needed. I installed mine on a bobby pin and I would recommend you do the same. The shelf is very sturdy and the glass shelves have nice beveled edges and come with grommets to place them where glass meets metal. Love the fact that you can loosen the screw holding each shelf and adjust so the shelf is level. I just sat on the shelf on an easy level and when it was level the screw tightened well. Shelves were true to size. I could put an Xbox and a power transformer on the same shelf! I was able to hide all the wires so it looked really nice. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the screws that came with it to attach it to the stud were Phillips head screws. I pre-drilled some but had trouble getting them all the way in without removing the screws. I went and got the hex head screws to attach, but the countersunk hole the screws go through is too small to fit a socket onto the screw. There is a cover that fits the hole once installed, so I couldn't enlarge the hole. I ended up grinding the screw heads down to the next smaller size so I could fit the head in the hole. Here is my suggestion to solve this problem. Mark and pre-drill the holes. Use hex head screws of the same size. Remove the device and fully screw the screws with the socket into the wall. Remove the screws, reinsert the device and secure it with the screws provided. By inserting and removing the first screws, the holes are virtually pre-punched and screwing in the Phillips screws is possible without any problems. I suggest the manufacturer make the access hole slightly larger and fit a larger plug. It could then be installed with hex head screws.
