If they were longer they would hold the dog much better if they were like knee socks with more grip on the bottom or with a rubber sole then the elastic and toe cap would hold them and stay on the feet of the dog. It's hard to wear things that don't have ankles, too bad the manufacturer doesn't take that into account, but overall much better to hold up than expensive boots that look ridiculous and fall off quickly!
