It should be noted that if you want people to see both the stars and the also see the stripes bind when tying a knot. If you knit it the usual way you only get one pattern and it's not as bright. I suspect people buying this want to be as flashy and visible as possible. Luckily this isn't difficult to fix, but I personally find the knot to look a bit odd. However, the tiny stars or stripes visible behind the first layer of loops managed to demonstrate their two-sidedness enough that this worked for me without having to include a twist in the knot, albeit in a slightly more subtle way than why i bought it first. Otherwise it is on par with other flies I have bought. It's the right size, shape, and texture, and feels sturdy. I personally like to wear it with my big red and white maple leaf cardigan, it just pisses people off too much.
