Scissors work great - my left handed 5 year old cuts much better than the regular preschool scissors he used before. They are perfect even for a right-handed mom. I removed the stars from the review because we did not receive the blue scissors with the red headband pictured. Instead, we got black scissors with a red zipper. My son doesn't care, but it will be much more difficult to write his name on a black pen for school.
