green, why green? for fish and aquatic animals

I wanted to use this for a large tank but never got updated. I have since given away my aquarium, filters and supplies. However, the filter I had had the same inlet pipe and it was fine. But I always wanted to make it clear. I think Eheim likes to paint the pipes green to match the plants. I ended up having to put some plants in front of it so it wouldn't be noticeable.

Electronic switch-off protects the pump in the event of a lack of water or overheating
