Does exactly what we need - allows us to quickly check a number of slides we found. Much better than keeping them in the light. The listing could have gone into more detail on the USB cable - it's included in the box and we only had to add a USB wall mount to power it. This is a big plus compared to those that only have batteries and no USB power supply. We were surprised that the screen/sight glass got dirty. We can clean the outside but it looks like there are stains inside. It probably needs better quality control in the factory. Since we only use it to quickly decide which slides to send for scanning, it still works great for us. Happy with the price.
