Plastic breaks easily
If the tray is too thin, it won't hold up. If the shelf is too thick, the plastic will break since it doesn't actually move. This is quite a fragile material. I put it on my shelf and immediately clicked on the first one. I was more careful with others after that, but some eventually broke if I tried to move them a little to the right or left. I have metal versions of these that work great and would recommend them instead.
