Review on Tenba DNA 15 Backpack Graphite by Jay Chowdhury

Nice bag but some things that could be improved

I used it as a daily car for about 6 months. Good: Very spacious inside, holds everything you need and can even double as a travel bag. Plenty of pockets help you stay organized. Good for on the go. It strikes a good balance between external dimensions and durability. It packs easily on an airplane and has a handle pass for luggage - Has compartments specifically for pens and notepads - Has some weather protection and comes with a rain cover - The included shoulder pad feels stiff at first but is surprisingly comfortable. - Like the design. Needs improvement: - Magnetic clasps come loose too often. I like the quiet operation but they are constantly being pushed. I've never worried about my gear falling out, but it can be annoying. - It's not very difficult. If you put something bulky in the side pockets, they tend to fold in and make the interior cramped. I would at least wish the camera deployment was more rigid as accessing your gear for quick lens changes etc can be a chore. The asymmetrical design on the flap makes it difficult to access the right pocket. Also, I'm generally not a fan of pockets that deep on the valve itself. I wish the front pockets were more like slip pockets so they can hold bulky items without taking up interior space. They are suitable for filters and laptops, but already have compartments for such things. Really need velcro mufflers. The top zip isn't the most convenient way to access your gear, especially if you're using a DSLR with a handle. , large lens or attach a flash. The problem is compounded by the lack of rigidity I mentioned, which can make the interior feel cramped than it really is. In my opinion this bag is great when you need to carry a lot of gear between sites and you can put it in and set it up. Work. It's also a great commute bag (depending on what you think of magnetic closures). This is for working on the go, i.e. street photography or event coverage.

Pros
  • Nice part
Cons
  • Makes me nervous
