The fans are located right in the center of the cooling stand. This is a problem because most laptops have vents that face upwards, so the fans mostly blow into the closed plastic shell. And the fan blades are quite small, so the wind doesn't reach the vent too well. You really have to slide your laptop down (so it sticks out of the lining) to keep it cool.
