The cord is too short - not very visible during the day

There is 10ft twisted pair cord available but you can't pull this cord 10ft from the light and leave it plugged into the cigarette lighter. The most comfortable distance would be 5 feet. I mounted the light on the very edge of my car roof and can still leave the cord in the cigarette lighter in the center of the car. So if you have a pickup truck or SUV, this would be next to impossible without the extension. The light is too small with a very bright orange screen, so not very noticeable during the day. In general, this is not the main light for work on the highway.
