A simple yet effective fragrance-free detergent

Because this washing powder is essentially washing soda (with some fillers), it works well for washing clothes. I still have to use additional products (oxygen bleach for whites, stain remover for stubborn stains) but for general laundry it just works and is better for me and the environment than regular store-bought detergent. The 2017 EWG listing now lists it as an A but still wants this product to contain only washing soda. I've tried various "safer" detergents with poor results; this is one of the best I've tried. If I also combine it with borax, I have the perfect laundry day. The real results are shown after several washing cycles with soda; My first 2-3 washes with this product were ok, but optimal results were after. I don't know if it was residue on my clothes or in the washing machine but try it a few times before judging how it works for you. The bag comes with a small scoop, I use 2 for large loads and 1 for medium loads; this is the ideal dosage for my front loader (not HE). Works well in cold water but best in warm/hot water (especially for towels and sheets). A little really goes a long way, although it doesn't produce a lot of lather. I like my laundry to be unscented and my skin is sensitive to detergent odors. I'm glad I have this unscented product. I mainly use it with cotton and white; I still use a special detergent for dark cotton, high-tech fabrics (sportswear) and castile soap for delicate laundry (silk, wool). I add an extra scoop to dark cottons when heavily soiled, but washing soda will fade over time if used frequently (in my experience). The packaging is completely sealed upon delivery, but is relatively easy to open. plastic packaging for the first time. The zipper allows you to close it again later; It's not a perfect reclosure, but I've never had a problem with moisture getting into the pouch and powder sticking together. The plastic of the bag is quite thick and durable, the bag fits comfortably and is easy to store (small details, but small things make the product perfect).
