I bought this side table as an extra shelf for my kids so they don't get in the way of my small coffee table. Material. The right material is crucial and I'm afraid this table will break pretty quickly. "Chrome" is hollow plastic with a heavier plastic top that doesn't seem able to hold up against each other. Furniture is a major design flaw. Since the tabletop is heavy, it will lean forward due to lack of support. Using a better material will of course result in a higher price but also better performance of the table. I like the modern/minimalist look so I bought it.
