Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Upgraded Metal Axles Dishwasher Wheel Lower Rack Replacement Parts- 4 Pack (W10195416, Kitchen Aid, Whirlpool, Kenmore) by Walter Martin

Big improvement, but add some threadlocker to the threads.

Overall this is a great price for a well made spare wheel set. Whirlpool had to stop cutting corners and supply them as an OEM. The plastic lower basket wheel design is terrible, as are the plastic upper basket side rollers, which they also tried and gave up. As of July 2021, my axles appear to be made entirely of stainless steel. You *necessarily* need threadlocker added to the threads. . Use a good #2 Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws, being careful not to pry off the soft stainless steel head. Add thread lock and reassemble by tightening securely. reduce wear and friction. There's no nut or slot when tightening or loosening a bolt, so just push down on the plain end of the threaded axle and you should be able to get a pretty good grip on it. A wide, very clean rubber band or small piece of silicone rubber can add a little more friction to your finger if it's still slippery. Follow the instructions on the threadlocker packaging and wait 24 hours before washing again to allow the threadlocker to fully cure on the threads. Dishwasher and end up in the grinder/dishwasher grinder, you can easily jam it or break the splines, and then you'll have to replace a few more parts. IMHO they should come with threadlocker installed. Modifications to new parts should not be necessary to ensure their reliable operation. -1 star
