Hmmm. I was delighted to receive this hat for my 11 month old son. He has a head in the 99th percentile and we had trouble finding a hat that would work as a sunscreen. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, this hat took much longer to arrive than originally stated. But when it actually arrived I was very excited to receive it. However, the gray is actually a bit lighter and the fabric is not that good. It appears to have very wide brims and a very flat hood. I got the size based on my son's actual head size according to the size chart, but it's actually too big! It's okay because he can grow into it, but I'm afraid the hat is too flat and sits too high on the head over the ears. The way it tightens at the back is also a bit odd because it doesn't exactly have one end that hangs down when you tighten it; Instead, it just gathers itself, creating a small crease in the fabric where you tighten it. It ends up being just an extra piece of fabric that's probably uncomfortable and looks pretty fun. It's still a pretty cute hat, but I'm not entirely sure it'll do as much as I originally hoped. I think you get what you pay for! It wasn't that expensive so I won't even bother with a refund.
