I've been told they are great for children with AFO and work very well. I don't normally like to spend too much on shoes, but after trying at least 2 dozen pairs with my daughter's new AFOs, I spent the money and they were worth it. They look great, not all stretched out of suspenders like New Balance's wide balls. We REALLY cut out the tongue to make them fit the velcro nicely, but they still look great. I love their design and color. I think they will last a long time.
